Rotex Pellet Mills by TechnoMashStroy: A Versatile Solution for Producing Pelleted Compound Feed
Rotex pellet mills are a line of reliable press pelletizers manufactured in Ukraine, designed to produce dense feed pellets in private households, farms, and production workshops. Equipment of the Rotex brand from the TechnoMashStroy plant helps process grain mixtures, bran, oilseed meals, hay, and other feed components into convenient 2–8 mm pellets for feeding agricultural animals, poultry, and fish.
What Rotex Pellet Mills Are Used For
Rotex pellet mills are used for:
- producing pelleted compound feed for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and horses;
- preparing feed pellets for poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys);
- manufacturing feed pellets for aquaculture;
- processing prepared plant raw materials (hay, sawdust, husks) into compact pellets.
On-site pelleting allows you to control ration composition, reduce feed losses during storage and transport, and simplify daily feeding.
Rotex Pellet Mill Models
The Rotex line includes several models that differ in power, output, and die diameter:
- Rotex-100 — a compact benchtop pellet mill for small farms. Output up to 40 kg/h, motor 1.5/2.2 kW, die Ø100 mm, holes 2–6 mm. Suitable for 220/380 V.
- Rotex-150 — a universal model for medium-sized farms. Output up to 100 kg/h, motor 4 kW (1500 rpm), die Ø150 mm, holes 2–8 mm. Operates on 220/380 V.
- Rotex-200 — a powerful press pelletizer for regular compound feed production. Output up to 200 kg/h, motor 5.5/7.5 kW, die Ø205 mm, holes 2–8 mm. Connection 380 V.
This range allows you to select the optimal solution — from home use to intensive farm operation.
Design and Operating Principle
Rotex pellet mills work by extruding prepared feed mass through die holes using two press rollers. Raw material enters the working chamber from the hopper, is compacted by the rollers, and forced through the radial die openings. At the outlet, a cutting knife forms pellets of convenient length.
Torque from the electric motor is transmitted to the working unit via a V-belt drive, ensuring smooth start-up and stable operation under load. Replaceable dies allow quick adaptation of the equipment to different raw materials and required pellet diameters.
Key Advantages of Rotex Pellet Mills
- Ukrainian manufacturing. Equipment is produced by TechnoMashStroy in Cherkasy, simplifying service and spare parts supply.
- Output for various tasks. Models from 40 to 200 kg/h allow scaling of compound feed production according to farm needs.
- Flexible settings. Replaceable dies with 2–8 mm holes enable production of pellets for different animal types and age groups.
- Robust construction. Reinforced frame, two press rollers, V-belt drive, and cutting knife ensure stable operation under prolonged load.
- Energy efficiency. Optimal ratio of motor power and output minimizes electricity costs per kilogram of finished pellets.
- Easy integration. Option to install a loading conveyor and connect to mixers simplifies building a complete pelleting line.
Raw Materials Suitable for Pelleting
Rotex pellet mills are primarily designed for feed raw materials:
- ready compound feed mixtures and premixes;
- ground grain components (wheat, barley, corn, oats);
- bran, oilseed meals, small grain by-products;
- hay, straw, husks, sawdust (after appropriate preparation and moistening).
Stable pelleting requires proper mixture preparation: uniform grinding, optimal moisture, and presence of binding components in the recipe.
