Design and operating principle
The main components of a granulator include an electric motor, drive, frame, die and compression rollers. Prepared raw material is fed onto the working surface of the die, where it is compacted by the rollers and forced through the holes. Cylindrical pellets are formed at the outlet, and their length is adjusted with a knife.
The reinforced frame and drive are designed to operate under the loads typical of pellet and pelleted feed production. The rollers are equipped with grease fittings, which simplify regular bearing lubrication. The detachable design of the working mechanism makes cleaning, maintenance and replacement of worn components easier.
Interchangeable dies for different raw materials
An important advantage of Pelletnik granulators is the ability to use interchangeable dies. The die is selected according to the type of raw material, the intended use of the pellets and the required diameter of the finished product. Dies with holes approximately 2 to 8 mm in diameter can be used for producing feed and fuel pellets.
Before granulation, the raw material must be crushed to a uniform fraction and cleared of stones, metal and other foreign matter. The optimum moisture content depends on the material, so it must be controlled during preparation. Following the recommended process helps reduce the load on the equipment and produce strong pellets with a uniform shape.
