Drum-type wood chipper ZUBR-30

The ZUBR-30 drum-type chipper from manufacturer TechnoMashStroy is designed for crushing wood and various woodworking waste into technical or fuel chips. The equipment is suitable for processing branches, offcuts, small-diameter logs, edgings, slats, blocks, edgings, veneer waste, particleboard (DSP), fiberboard (DVP), plywood, and other wood-based materials.

The resulting chips can be used for the production of pellets and briquettes, manufacture of particleboard, heating in boilers with automatic fuel loading, as well as for smoking meat and fish. The ZUBR-30 makes it possible to process raw material for further production of a finer fraction in a hammer crusher.

The drum design is equipped with twelve knives and is intended for working with wood of various types. A loading throat measuring 200 × 350 mm allows feeding large parts of raw material. The length of the processed material can reach up to 2 m, and the crushing result depends on the wood species, moisture content, type of waste, and knife adjustment.

The electric drive of the ZUBR-30 has an installed power of 32.2 kW, including an electric motor with a power of 30 kW. The rotation speed of the working unit is 1,315 rpm. The equipment’s output is up to 15 m³/h of finished chips; however, the actual figure depends on the properties of the raw material and the organization of feeding.

For convenient discharge of the finished chips, the chipper is equipped with a discharge conveyor. It can be used to feed material into an accumulation tank or to the next processing operation. The presence of a receiving hopper helps organize a continuous work cycle and reduce manual handling of wood waste.
